Another hot night at Nichols and with low bench numbers, everyone was struggling…<\/p>\n
In the early game both teams were short runners, with Team Sharley (3) in worse shape than Team Jacquie (8). With the loan of a couple of runners to Team Sharley,the game started with 11 runners total, 1 spare only for Team Jacquie! As expected the game was close with the teams being tied at the end of every period. Final score Team Sharley 7 – Team Jacquie 7.<\/p>\n
In the late game both teams were short at the start and a few masochistic early game players helped out. In a back and forth game Team Dirka started hard and led 4-2 at the end of the 1st but Team Lia clawed back to lead 7-6 at the end of 2. In the 3rd the heat seemed to dominate but Team Dirka pulled away late in the game, outscoring Team Lia 6-3 in the period. Final score Team Dirka 12 – Team Lia 10… at least that is what the scoresheet said – the heat and 4 shots off the helmet made the whole evening sort of …fuzzy.<\/p>\n
