Well…. 2 weeks ago the first night of 2018 Winter Lacrosse went pretty well – 13 runners and 2 goalies. Lets see if tonight can be even better…

WINTER MASTERS LAX 2018

SESSION #2

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 24, 2018  8:00pm – 10:00pm.
SILVERWOODS ARENA

Just NW of Highbury Trafalgar intersection)

We have no idea what the turnout will be – could be 10 or it could be 40 – should be 2 goalies though! – the plan is for pickup lacrosse, no set teams, no refs, no charge! Show up at 8:00pm and we’ll see what makes the most sense for tonight and going forward. Bring any extra pinnies if you have them in case some non-summer players show up. Next floor time after tonight is in 2 weeks Wednesday November 7, 2018.   See you on the floor.

Sooooo ……floor time is booked, insurance is arranged and we have found competent(?), responsible(?) people to reliably show up and keep things under control – Winter Lax London Year #1 is a go!

Initial plan is to go Wednesday nights, biweekly 8:00-10:00 at Silverwoods.  Unstructured pickup only (for now), hopefully 2 goalies will be present for all weeks scheduled.

The Wednesday nights are as follows:

October 10, 2018 – 8:00pm – 10:00pm.

October 24, 2018 – 8:00pm – 10:00pm.

November 7, 2018 – 8:00pm – 10:00pm.

November 21, 2018 – 8:00pm – 10:00pm.

December 5, 2018 – 8:00pm – 10:00pm.

December 19, 2018 – 8:00pm – 10:00pm.

Depending on turnout and interest we will review 2019 times at the end of November. We may stay with biweekly for January and possibly move to weekly dates in February and March. There is no charge for the floor time – your summer fees cover the winter floor time. The first couple of weeks will determine how we go forward – depending on the turnout numbers and behavior of the people involved we will decided if any further rules or guidelines will be put in place. Rob Ashmore has kindly booked the floor time in his name and Rob and Matt Austin, Justin Phelps and Dylan English have offered to be the voices of reason attending the floor times trying to keep everyone on the straight and narrow.
