Wednesday Night Recap

Wednesday night delivered another memorable matchup in the London Masters Lacrosse League as Team Salmon faced off against Team Cameron.

Despite missing their fearless leader, Team Salmon wasted no time, jumping out with a quick opening goal to set the early pace.

Team Cameron answered in dominant fashion, stringing together 7 straight goals and seizing control of the game, taking a 7-1 lead into the 3rd period.

The pace was quick – and with 4 runners on each bench – both goaltenders elevated their play, making key stops on numerous breakaway chances and keeping the game within reach.

Team Salmon mounted a spirited comeback, but Team Cameron held firm, securing an 8-6 victory and snapping Team Salmon’s two-game winning streak.

Team Cameron’s captain led by example with a pair of goals, while newcomer Conor also tallied two, and several other runners contributed to round out the scoring. ( was I in the crease on that one? )

With momentum now shifting, Team Cameron looks to build on this win and even the series next week.

The competition is heating up—don’t miss the next chapter of Wednesday night lacrosse!

London Masters Lacrosse League – Wednesday Night Recap

Week 1: A Historic Night for the League

Two weeks ago, the London Masters Lacrosse League saw a return to tradition with two referees and a timekeeper officiating the game for the first time in years. The added structure brought a renewed energy to the field, with both teams—Team  Salmon and Team Cameron—eager to make their mark.

Team Salmon came out strong, showcasing sharp passing and relentless offense. Despite a determined effort from Team Cameron, Team Salmon secured the win with a final score of 8-6. The atmosphere was electric, and the presence of the full officiating crew made for a smooth and competitive game.

Week 2: Down to the Wire

Last week’s rematch between Team Salmon and Team Cameron was an edge-of-your-seat thriller. The game was a defensive battle, with both goalies playing solid, and sides trading goals and momentum throughout. Team Salmon managed to hold a narrow lead, but Team Cameron refused to back down.

A dramatic moment came when Lia suffered a broken tip, but her resilience inspired her teammates to keep pushing. Late in the game, Shawn scored a crucial goal for Team Cameron, bringing them within one in a nail-biting finish. Despite the late surge, Team Salmon held on for a 6-5 victory, taking a 2-0 lead in the series.

Looking Ahead

With Team Salmon now ahead two games to none, all eyes are on this week’s match-up. Can Team Cameron rally and turn the tide, or will Team Salmon continue their winning streak?

One thing’s for sure—the competition is fierce, the camaraderie is strong, and Wednesday nights have never been more exciting for London Masters Lacrosse.
