A couple of good games at Kinsmen last night, good efforts by all but the results were never really in doubt.

In the 1st game the writing was on the wall for Team Jacquie right from the start. Team Sharley was there with a full bench while Team Jacquie was missing 3 key goal scorers. A fairly fast start and both teams were able to trade goals with the 1st period ending, Team Sharley up 3-2. Team Sharley added 3 more in the 2nd and 4 in the 3rd while Team Jacquie just ran out of steam, scoring only once in each frame. Final score -Team Sharley 10 – Team Jacquie 4. Team Sharley moves on to the Championship Game in an attempt to repeat as Playoff Champions in 2018. On the goalie front Gord and G2 ended up tied, each allowing 7 goals.

In the late game Team Lia came out on fire opening up a quick lead and never letting up. Leading 7-2 at the end of the 1st period the game was essentially over. Both teams added a couple of goals each in the 2nd and 3rd periods but Team Dirka was never able to mount a concerted attack. Final score Team Lia 11 – Team Dirka 6. Team Lia heads to the Championship Game for a rematch with Team Sharley. They ran up the score on Team Sharley last week, can they do it again? Team Dirka …on to the Toilet Bowl. In the goalie battle Justin continued his winning ways with his 15th win of the summer (Justin(5)/ Carson(12)).

As in previous years, tables will be reserved and appetizers provided at the Alibi to allow full discussion of game results, personal achievements and 2019 contract demands/offers after next Wednesday’s games.
