Despite some excitement and uncertain interim scores, the actual end results were as expected….

In the early game Team Sharley was short handed…again, but a couple of mercenaries helped out enough to get over the forfeit issue. Team Lia jumped out  to a 4 goal lead in the 1st period and looked to be cruising for an easy game. Team Sharley scored a couple in the 2nd before Team Lia’s snipers restored their 4 goal advantage by the end of the period. The 3rd period was …interesting – Team Sharley scored and scored again and again and again to tie the game at 6 early in the period but these goals only seemed to wake Team Lia up. 6 unanswered goals in the last 10 minutes and Team Lia coasted to a dominant 12-6 victory. Team Lia 12 – Team Sharley 6 with TeamL opening up a 5 point lead at the top of the standings.

In the late game things were close for the entire game. The teams were tied at 2 at the end of the 1st and still tied at 3 at the end of the 2nd after a bit of unpleasantry following one of the faceoffs. In the 3rd, Team Dirka would score to take a slim lead but Team Jacquie would always reply shortly afterwards to tie it back up.  Going late into the period, Team Jacquie was able to score a couple of unanswered goals and hold off a Team Dirka charge for the eventual victory Team Jacquie 8 – Team Dirka 6.
