4th tournament of the 2017 season – past data points 1-3, 3-1, 1-3 seem to indicate a good weekend coming up. The tournament results put the Werewolves in the 7th seed of 10 teams and provide a better than historical seeding schedule. With a full bench of runners that, on paper are the strongest London has fielded in recent memory things are looking somewhat positive for the weekend – well, at least better than showing up with only 8 or less guys for the entire weekend.

With the strong and numerous lineup Werewolves even held a practice/strategy session last night …and surprisingly no beer was involved. Hopefully the results will be better than 2 years ago, the last time Werewolves held a practice! Anyway, tonight and tomorrow will show if this is to be a Year of the (Were)wolf.

Tomorrow night, for all the marbles! All of the I stuff – set aside! Injuries – what injuries? Time for the real thing! First up, Team Dirka and Team Lia for the Bronze Medal (actually the EveryWinnerHasToGetSomethingChampionOfTheLosersRound Bronze Award (Girl’s Lax Bobblehead version) or alternately the (Stained) SilverBedpanToiletBowlLoser trophy) – hitting the floor for the undercard at 8:00pm. Some rumour that there might be collusion to make last second major trades and player movements (ie. throw sticks in the middle and play for fun!) – the Commissioner’s office will have to investigate this – can’t mess with the integrity of the game!  😆 Once their game is over and the ToiletBowl is scrubbed clean – THE SHINING MOMENT for LMHLL2017, the pinnacle of Masters lacrosse in London, the ultimate….whatever …Team Jacquie vs Team Blair at 9:00pm. Remember to head on over to the Alibi for a few cold brews and snacks after the games and to receive your appropriate prize/trophy/award printout.
