LONDON MASTERS 2018 – 1ST REGISTRATION EVENT WED MARCH 21, 2018 ALIBI ROADHOUSE

And AGAIN, after a long dark winter ….we’re back! …More deja vu from 2016 and 2017 at the same points in time…there seems to be a pattern here – (registration is 1 day earlier, notification post 3 days earlier – I am getting SOOO much more efficient…) Changes from last year highlighted in red.

First registration for London 2018 Masters House League and Travel Teams will be held

Bring your cheque book (and try to preregister online and ePay before you come). We have eTransfer payment capability – you can send your registration fees to payment_at_londonmasterslacrosse.com.

House League (20 weeks) – $175

4, maybe 6 teams (numbers permitting), 1 hr games on Wednesdays 8:00-10:00 (maybe 11:00) at Kinsmen – starting April 18, 2018 floor conditions permitting.

Tournament Travel Team – $200

3.0 Tournaments + Provincials

Fergus – June 1– June 3, 2018 (4 games)
Brantford – July 20 – July 22, 2018 (4 games)
Niagara – August 10 – August 12, 2018 (4 games)
Provincials (ROCK Ctr Oakville) – September 7 – September 9, 2018(4 games)

As was the case last year, EVERYONE (HL) has to register again online and on hard copy (TRAVEL)  for insurance coverage. We will have some tablets at the registration to process the online forms….BUT you can  make things easier by pre-registering at the OML website ontariomasterslacrosse.com – I will be sending out a quick email to all known addresses from last year with login details or you can email me at gglinavs_at_ sprynet.com to get the username and password (same as last year and the year before if you remember – digital security best practices – what’s the fun in THAT!). Make sure you register for London Masters House League.  After filling in your information, you have to scroll to the bottom of the page to check off the “I have read and understood this stuff” box before submitting. User interface seems to be improved a bit – every little bit helps. Ignore the roster listings (still set to Summer 2017 – hopefully these will be updated shortly). When you get your emailed insurance/registration confirmation please forward it on to us at payment_at_londonmasterslacrosse.com. Looks like you can now fully register and pay without leaving the house and coming for a cold beverage and some (re)telling of lacrosse stories (lies) but what would be the fun in that.

WEREWOLVES OFF TO THE 2017 PROVINCIALS

4th tournament of the 2017 season – past data points 1-3, 3-1, 1-3 seem to indicate a good weekend coming up. The tournament results put the Werewolves in the 7th seed of 10 teams and provide a better than historical seeding schedule. With a full bench of runners that, on paper are the strongest London has fielded in recent memory things are looking somewhat positive for the weekend – well, at least better than showing up with only 8 or less guys for the entire weekend.

Games are as follows at the TRAC Centre in Oakville

Friday Sept 8, 2017     9:00pm TURF  vs. Niagara
Saturday Sept 9, 2017 9:00am CONC  vs. Toronto Beaches
Saturday Sept 9, 2017 3:00pm CONC  vs. Whitby/Durham

Sunday game(s) depend on Fri/Sat results.

With the strong and numerous lineup Werewolves even held a practice/strategy session last night …and surprisingly no beer was involved. Hopefully the results will be better than 2 years ago, the last time Werewolves held a practice! Anyway, tonight and tomorrow will show if this is to be a Year of the (Were)wolf.
