Team Shawn Closes Out the Series with Another Strong Finish

Last night marked an exciting conclusion to the latest series as Team Shawn secured both the win and the series title. They set the tone early, jumping out to a commanding 3-0 lead after the first period, and kept the pressure on to take a 4-1 advantage at the mid-game goalie change.

Team Jared showed resilience, with Matt Miller rifling home a top-shelf snipe to spark the comeback, eventually narrowing the score to just 5-4. Despite the push, a late goal by Team Shawn settled the score and put the game—and the series—out of reach.

It was great to see both new faces and missing players suiting up, adding fresh energy and familiar skills to the floor. With this series in the books, we’re excited to turn the page and look ahead—new teams will be forming to keep our close, competitive lacrosse going….

Both netminders were absolutely stellar, “standing on their heads” with highlight-reel saves at both ends of the floor. Kevin continued his hot streak as a reliable sniper, adding another key goal to his tally. With this result, the series now sits at 2 wins for Team Shawn, 1 for Team Jared, and 1 tie—making every game count as the rivalry heats up.

Last week’s intense matchup saw Team Shawn seal the series with an 11-8 victory over Team Jared in a thrilling contest. The game was tightly contested throughout, with neither side giving an inch—ending the first period tied at 3-3 and the second period deadlocked at 6-6.

The third period continued the back-and-forth scoring, with the teams locked at 8-8 late into the frame. But then Team Shawn stepped up with three unanswered goals to pull away and secure the win.

Multiple players contributed offensively, including Jeff Salmon, who stood out by tallying four goals—all impressively scored underhand.
