2018 SEASON ALMOST HERE! WEEK #1 WEDNESDAY MAY 2, 2018

Apparently last week’s turnout was marginal – probably something to do with the Leafs’ final (futile) swing at the 2018 Stanley Cup – well, now that they are done, its time for the real Canadian game of summer.

Week #1 of the 2018 season is Wednesday May 2, 2018 Kinsmen Arena.

Team Dirka  vs.  Team Lia     8:00pm – 9:00pm.

Team Blair  vs.  Team Jacquie     9:00pm – 10:00pm.

Preliminary rosters are posted. Remember that there will likely be some minor changes to provide competitive balance as more of the stragglers finally get around to registering and paying.

In any case – On with the show! See you on Wednesday evening for the start of another fun season of London Masters Lacrosse House League.

LAX2018 2nd FLOOR TIME – WEDNESDAY APRIL 25, 2018 KINSMEN ARENA

Pretty good turnout for the first floor time of 2018 – looked like almost 14-15 per side for a short time before exhaustion and questionable conditioning dropped numbers down to 7-8 per side for the 2nd half of the evening. Some new faces …so…generally a good evening of lacrosse.

On to week #2.

We have the floor 8:00-10:00. 2nd week is again pickup only – no refs so you can run as long as you want (or are able). No point in trying to predict turnout – come for 8:00ish and figure out how to get enough running time in to meet your lax needs for this week.
For those who haven’t figured out that they really do need to sign up to play, try to register and send payment before showing up tomorrow -there  probably won’t be a tablet or laptop available so you will have to figure out how to use your phone to register. For those who have registered but not paid yet (you know who you are!) – see the instructions on how to use eTfr to forward the money!  🙂

Make sure the check box at the bottom of the page agreeing to the waiver is checked
Click on the [SUBMIT] button.
Send $175 eTfr to payment@londonmasterslacrosse.com and you are good to go for 2018.

Lacrosse – now Canada’s winter game – at least that’s what it looks like from my window.

First floor time is tomorrow evening

LAX 2018 starts tomorrow night – we have the floor 8:00-10:00. First 2 weeks are pickup only – no refs so you can run as long as you want (or are able). We have about 40 registrations so far so maybe surnames beginnign with A-P plan to show up for 8:00. Unregistered and Q-Z can show up for 8:30 and fill in on the floor as the EMTs haul people away wheezing and panting.
Try to register and send payment before showing up tomorrow – don’t make Russ have to walk you through online registration on a smartphone or tablet!

LONDON MASTERS 2018 – 2nd REGISTRATION EVENT WEDNESDAY APRIL 11, 2018 ALIBI ROADHOUSE

Not too bad of a turnout for the 1st registration – about 10 signups with 4-5 new players ready to hit the floor. We have our eTransfer deposit system set up so only really, really old school guys like TomC have to continue using paper cheques.

With only a week and a half to go before first floor time we probably should have another face-to-face registratioon event for those that crave human contact. So…. next registration for London 2018 Masters House League will be held
