A couple of good games, not particularly close, but good games to watch none the less…

In the early game Team Sharley barely escaped a default with Sharley arriving on the floor just at the deadline. A couple of additional players showed up a few minutes late but it wasn’t enough as Team Jacquie was able to run the floor putting up a 3 goal lead at the end of the 1st, increasing the lead by 1 in the 2nd and finishing the game an additional 2 goals up – final score Team Jacquie 10 – Team Sharley 4. We _WILL_ have a new champion in 2019!

In the late game both teams scored early and it stayed close for the 1st half of the game. LiaT scored a pretty goal late in the 1st period to decisively put her team in the lead from which they never looked back, leading 4-3 at the end of one and 7-4 at the end of 2. Team Dirka tried hard but were unable to break through – final score Team Lia 9 – Team Dirka 4.

Next week is the Final Championship event of HLSummer2019 – Wednesday August 28, 2019 Kinsmen Arena.

For the Toilet Bowl

Team Sharley  vs.  Team Dirka     8:00pm  –  9:00pm.

For the Championship Trophy

Team Jacquie  vs.  Team Lia     9:00pm  –  10:00pm.

As per past practice we have a section reserved at the Alibi where some appetizers and snacks will be provided starting around 9:30, so that trophy certificates and participation ribbons can be distributed and various fake news stories and fictional recollections of the past season can be discussed.
